Wellness on Wheels (WOW) is a mobile health program for families with limited access to medical care in Danbury, CT. The WOW van is staffed by a physician, RN, bi-lingual immunization outreach worker, social worker, and driver/assistant. Services: physicals for school and work; sick visits; complete immunization services including vaccines for school, work and travel; flu clinics; screenings for children and adults. Funding, staffing and program admnisitration is through a partnership of Danbury Hospital, Danbury Visiting Nurse Association, the City of Danbury, Danbury Hospital Development Fund and State of Connecticut Immunization Action Program. |
